San Deigo

At Mission Beach. It was probably in the high 70's that day, but the wind was blowing quite hard.
Zeke loved the sand & the water & the seaweed.
Our hotel was literally across the street from Balboa Park. We walked all over BP and Jen and Mark even ran through it in the mornings. I think I lost weight on this vacation with all the walking we did!
Balboa Park is the largest cultural park in the US. It's a huge area with many gardens and museums to enjoy. My handsome little guy! Zeke did really well in the stroller, even took his naps in it! He has never, ever done that before.
One of the many gardens...

Another fountain to make Zeke happy. He almost managed to crawl into this one.

Getting things done...

Here is our new kitchen island. This was surprisingly easy to make; and I couldn't be happier with how it turned out. It easily doubles our counter space and makes me kitchen feel huge! I still don't have all the drawers filled!

Here is Isaac, having fun taking studs out of the side wall of our garage. Isaac is very good at cutting away stucco.
Our new doorway...leads to side yard...
Our new side door! This was also a surprisingly easy project. (Perhaps Isaac and I are just really good DIY'ers now...we have certainly had enough apprenticeship!) Isaac had lots of help and supervision from my dad, his dad and the neighbor. Even with all that "help" the door was installed in one short day after many, many, many beers. Thanks everyone!
